Public Relations Intern - Location: Austin, Texas

Overview:
Interns working for Mercom gain valuable experience and industry exposure in clean energy and healthcare technology markets. Our internships offer unlimited potential to develop industry experience and grow creatively. Interns can also earn credit through the University of Texas. We currently have the following internship openings:

Qualifications

• Assist with writing for various client pieces (press releases, corporate profiles, press kit packaging, research, etc.)
• Assist with client services
• Assist with weekly market intelligence reports for CLEAN TECHNOLOGY and HEALTH CARE IT that currently goes to 10,000+ subscribers
• Should be able to assist with Clean Technology events as necessary
• Assist in PR campaign efforts including crafting key messages and developing strategies and tactics
• Various administrative duties and daily activities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and hardworking
• Knowledge of AP Style
• Must be interested in furthering a career in IR/PR
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; any experience in design programs is a plus
• Research/analytical skills
• Good phone skills
• Great attitude
• Must have a passion for CLEAN TECHNOLOGY
• Must have a passion for HEALTHCARE IT
